Are you interested in preemption reform, increasing the minimum wage, or urging the federal government to support local critical infrastructure? Do you want to advocate for better transportation and paid family leave? The DMO Policy Council helps cities enact progressive legislation, and supports their right to local control.
City leaders are in a significant position to press key Democratic policy initiatives forward. The Policy Council assesses where DMO members can be most effective and helps develop the tools necessary for leaders like you to move the needle on good policy.

Mike Kasperzak answered 2015-08-06 11:16:36 -0500Q: What is your preferred method for future Labor issues trainings?
In our work to provide local Democrats with the tools to make their jobs easier, we are crafting a handbook called ORGANIZED LABOR TODAY: A Curriculum for Municipal Officials.
This guide will define the structure and legal framework of labor unions, list the state and local laws that affect unions, lay out the key issues facing labor today, and provide effective messaging and talking points for municipal leaders who want to be better allies to organized labor. This curriculum will be further supported by a series of in-person trainings at national events, online content, and video email campaigns.
Please help us design this curriculum to better serve your needs. Your answers on this survey will help us mold the Labor 101 project to maximize its benefit to you. Thank you for your participation.Take the survey
